Tri Peak Trek in God’s Own Country for Macmillan Cancer Support

Two Brlidngton friends, Alistair Sweeney and Stuart Brown, are fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support by trekking up 3 of the highest Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales and hoping to complete the 25 mile hike within 12 hours.

Alistair and Stuart are doing this fundraiser in memory of their friend and Brildington business man Phil Blakeston, who lost his battle with cancer a few years ago. After the fantastic support they gave Phil and his family through the troubling times they are hoping to raise money so that the support can continue with another family.

They are supporting this charity to help continue the incredible work they do to give others the same level of understanding and guidance in a very sensitive and trying time of the illness.

Stuart said”Anyone that knows me well, knows that there will be a lot of photographs of our journey, so you can join us too enjoying the stunning Yorkshire Scenery also known as “God’s Country” – Alistair & Stuart (GoFundMe Page)

They plan on setting off at 6am on Saturday 18th July and will be sharing lots of photos so make sure to keep an eye out for photos of the gorgeous scenery as the trek up the Peaks.

At the moment they have raised over £1,000!
