Beachcomber is back in Scarborough

Beachcomber is back in Scarborough 1

From 18th July the Beachcomber buses will be back on the streets of Scarborough.

East Yorkshire Buses say they will be running buses along the seafront from The Spa to The Sands every day from 18 July until 6 September.

Buses run from The Sands in North Bay through to The Spa in South Bay, taking in some great views along Royal Albert Drive, Marine Drive and Sandside.  They’ll also take a loop up to the town centre, so you can board there too.  No need to book in advance, you can hop on at any stop.*

* Please note that due to part of the seafront being one-way only, buses will not be able to serve northbound stops along Foreshore Road, between The Spa and West Pier.

You can buy a ticket on the bus using contactless or cash.  Tickets are priced at:

  • Adult day ticket £5
  • Child day ticket £3
  • Concessionary day ticket £3
  • Group ticket £12 (for up to 4 people travelling together)

You can also use East Yorkshire Buses Coaster tickets on the open top buses.

Social distancing and new transport laws will be in operation so to sit away at a distance from other households, wear a face covering while using transport (unless exempt due to disability reasons or under the age of 11) and don’t travel if you are feeling unwell.

East Yorkshire Buses say that their Beachcomber Green (Scarborough attractions) and Beachcomber Blue (Bridlington) will not be running this year.
