Bridlington Snooker & Billiard League SUSPENDED due to Coronavirus Pandemic.

The Bridlington & District Snooker & Billiard League is suspended for the foreseeable future due to the on going Coronavirus Pandemic.

Chairman of the League posted the following on their facebook page –

“To the bridlington and district snooker and billiards league. As chairman of the league, regrettably myself and the committee have made a decision to suspend all league and cup matches for the foreseeable. After numerous conversations over the last few days we feel it is in the best interests of every member of the league due to the amount of elderly players who are in the at risk category of the coronavirous. This decision has not been taken lightly and was not something we wanted to do. Safeguarding and health of our members and players is paramount and i hope this decision will be respected by all league members. Please note the league is only suspended, not cancelled, until a time it can be resumed and played out to a finish. At such a time we will communicate back to you all giving you notice the league will be resuming. We hope that you can respect our decision on this matter. All captains and venues are currently being contacted.

Many thanks, Brett Markwell (Chairman)” – Bridlington and District Snooker and Billiard League facebook page.
