100th Lap Completed for Captain Tom Moore aged 99. Raising over £13M for NHS 1

Captain Tom Moore set the goal of doing 100 Laps of his 25 metre garden with hopes to raise around £1,000 for the NHS. As today Capt Tom Moore completed his 100th lap he smashed the humble target and raised over £13M for the NHS in these troubling times.

Capt. Moore has completed this achievement just days before his 100th Birthday, 30th Apil.

Soldiers from the 1st Battalion of The Yorkshire Regiment surprised Capt. Moore with a Guard of Honour as he completed the 100th lap.

Matt Hancock, Health Secretary, mentioned in a press conference on Wednesday  about Capt. Moore’s fundraiser and said:

“I want to pay a special tribute today to Captain Tom Moore.

“Captain Tom, you’re an inspiration to us all, and we thank you.”

Many Celebrities, Sporting icons and the World’s media has sent their congratulations and messages of good luck during the fundraiser.   

Capt. Tom finished off the fundraiser with a comment of “I feel fine” as people asked about his own health. 

Congratulations to Captain Tom Moore on completing this amazing fundraiser for the NHS. You captured the World’s attention at a time of unease to bring some joy and happiness to many people.
